You can purchase fiberglass panels that are pre-fabricated at a good price and they will work just as well. They are available in both 9.14 meters and 10.4 meters, but with these mats, you can choose to get a mat that has an extra padding layer between the actual carpet and the concrete.
This can be a great option if you have to get rid of an old fiberglass mat that was damaged in a flood or damaged somewhere else. A fiberglass mat is very resilient, but it does not do as well when under water. Therefore, if you are putting a fiberglass laminating system underneath a pool, it is best to use fiberglass mats that are rated for pools that are shallow. On the other hand, if you are putting the laminating system underneath a pool that is deep, then you can put a fiberglass mat under it as well.
Another thing to keep in mind is that many manufacturers advertise their product by using the words 'high fiberglass mats' or 'hi-lo per square feet.' These statements are not necessarily true because mats vary in density and weight. For example, a single fiberglass mat that is advertised as having a density of four pounds per square inch is not necessarily the same as another with a density of five pounds per square inch. In general, the higher the density of the fibers in a mat, the more it will cost per square foot.
